The National Security Academy of Ireland was established by Séamus Ó Droigneáin for the delivery of security and industry related training to the standards and specifications of the PSA (Private Security Authority).
Séamus was introduced to security by his younger brother Eóin Ó Droigneáin when they worked together in The Voodoo Lounge on Aran Quay for VIP Security. Following this, Séamus was a supervisor in The Ozone night club Leixlip , before traveling to Macedonia and Israel for counter-terrorism training with the International Security Academy. After graduating as a Protection Specialist, Séamus returned to a position as the Senior Operations Supervisor for Sword Event Guard International where he obtained his FETAC Level 6 "Train the Trainers" award and his BTEC Level 3 in Close Protection. This is also where Seamus met Mark Toner, a renowned trainer, and the director of The International Centre for Security Excellence. He has worked for Mark since then as a trainer. Durin this time period Séamus also became a member of the International Bodyguard Association through the Director General Jim Short.
Since 2008 Séamus has been associated with the Security Institute of Ireland and in 2008 in this year Sé became the Recruiting and Development Manager for Renaissance Security Services before moving to P&B Security in 2009. The National Security Academy of Ireland provides courses in Door Security Procedures, Basic Guarding Skills and Retail Security as well as First Aid and Conflict Management to both men and women. All of our courses are not just provided by dedicated and professional trainers, but by experienced door staff who currently work in the industry.
